Florida's humidity creates specific indoor air quality challenges. UV germicidal lights installed in the air handler kill mold, bacteria, and viruses on the evaporator coil and in the airstream. We install UV systems from major manufacturers that are designed to fit inside the air handler without impeding airflow. These are particularly effective for preventing mold growth on the evaporator coil — a common Florida problem that can degrade air quality and reduce system efficiency.
Standard 1" filters capture large particles but do little for fine dust, pollen, or biological contaminants. We install high-efficiency media filters and electronic air cleaners that significantly improve particle capture without the severe airflow restriction that cheap fiberglass filters in the wrong housing can cause. Proper filtration has to be matched to your system's airflow capacity — undersized filtration surfaces increase static pressure and reduce system efficiency.
